National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is only 15 Weeks Away! Time to start inventorying what you have collected so far this year (as an individual or as a church) and see what you need to meet your shoe box goals for 2015. Here at First Southern Baptist Church of Grandview, we have been collecting for our shoeboxes since May. Each month has been a different emphasis for our church shoebox goal. So far, we have collected non-liquid hygiene items (May and June), clothing items (July), and school supplies (August). We will inventory what we have and let our church members know what we need to fill our 50 shoe boxes for 2015!
Our church is also a distribution site for the Shady District. We are so excited for this opportunity to serve God and partner with other churches in our community to meet both physical and spiritual needs of children around the world. If you are passionate about Operation Christmas Child and live in the Shady District, let us know! We are currently looking for volunteers for the 2015 OCC team!
