Here at First Southern Baptist Church of Grandview, we absolutely LOVE VBS! We plan games, crafts, music, Bible Studies, and Mission Studies for the kids to partake in. We build all kinds of fun decorations like mountains, snake pits, giant trees, volcanoes, secret agent offices and more! We genuinely love and enjoy spending time, playing games, and learning with all the kids who come. On the last night of VBS, we throw a big party and invite all the parents, kids, church members, and our community to join in on all the fun.
Despite all of these awesome things, the real reason we love VBS is because we have an opportunity to share God’s Love and Good News with both children and adults. Our desire is that through VBS, you and your child will come to see and know our Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. You see, we believe that we are all sinners, who have been seperated from a holy and righteous God because of our sin. This grieved God, so he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to live the perfect life and die the perfect death- in our place. We believe that Christ died and rose again on the third day. This sacrificial act bridged the gap between us and God. We no longer have to be eternally seperated from God. We believe that everyone has an opportunity to choose whether or not we, as individuals, want to have a relationship with God. We believe that all you must do to have a relationship with God is admit to God that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus is the Son of God and confess your faith in Jesus as your Savior and Lord. As a result, you can experience God’s Love daily.
VBS gives us an opportunity to share the gospel with more people. So while we love the fun and games, we love sharing the gospel more!

Ages/Classes: Preschool – 3 (potty trained)- 5 years olds, 1st & 2nd Grade, 3rd & 4th Grade, and Preteens
Our Family Fun Night is Friday, July 10 starting at 6:00 pm. We invite all of our community members to come and celebrate with us! We will have Sno-Cones, Cotton Candy, Carnival Games, Bouncy House, Fire Truck, Water Games, and More!
