LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks
We partner with Appalachian Regional Ministries to help us show the love of Christ to impoverished children and youth in the Shady District. LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks allows us to partner with local schools to provide children with healthy, easy to prepare food, hygiene items, a new toy, new clothing, and a Bible or New Testament along with “The Christmas Story”. Each backpack is age and gender appropriate.
If your missions teams selects this event, it allows us to sponsor a new school in Southern West Virginia. Click here to download the application for this specific ministry event.
Backyard Bible Clubs
Backyard Bible Clubs are children’s programs including music, games, crafts, Bible stories and lessons, and recreation with optional: clowning and puppets performances. These are designed for children ages 4 to 12. They can be utilized in campgrounds, backyards, parks, and the beach (lake). Most Backyard Bible Club run for 2-3 hours each day. This is a great option for Youth Groups as Youth are capable of leading all phases of Backyard Bible Club and are expected to do so under adequate adult supervision. Remember that this is an opportunity to share the love and care of Jesus.

Evangelistic Block Parties
An Evangelistic Block Party is a meaningful addition to any Southern West Virginia Missions Trip. This is an intentional, evangelistic event designed by the North American Mission Board to serve the community and share the gospel. The Missions Team would partner with First Southern Baptist Church of Grandview to select a neighborhood in the area, provide a meal, and a program. In some areas, clothing and hygiene items will be distributed.

Sports camps are a great missional opportunity to consider. Sports Camps that are popular include: basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and golf. This Missions Trip Option is a good fit for churches or organizations who have Team Members that have played at the High School or Collegiate level in the sport the camp will teach. This is an ideal fit for Collegiate sports teams looking for a great summer service and bonding event.
