This is our first year participating in Christmas in August at First Southern Baptist Church of Grandview. We are so excited to teach our kids and youth more about Missions. 2015’s Sponsor Missionary is Joshua and Rebekah Whetstine. They are North American Missionaries who planted a church in St. Louis Park, MN. Over the next few weeks, we are collecting the following items: art supplies for kids, book bags for kids going back to school, Legos (girls and boys), crayons, stuffed animals, and Caribou Coffee gift cards (to connect with and love on YMCA staff we do ministry around).
What can you do to help with Christmas in August? Reach out to Amanda French, our Missions Leader/WMU Director and see if any volunteers are needed for the event. Pick up some extra school supplies, Legos, or stuffed animals next time your are out and about. Pray for Joshua and Rebeka Whetstine and their ministry in St. Louis Park, MN.
