Passionate about Missions in Southern West Virginia but Unable to Go?

There are ways to participate in a West Virginia Missions Trip without physically going to West Virginia. God has something special for each of us to be doing and while we love that many people are able and called to go on Missions Trips not everyone experiences this calling. Regardless of our personal ministries, God has called all of us to pray. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 He states, “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.” West Virginia needs healing. America needs healing. We should all be on our knees lifting up our country and seeking God’s face.

Not only does God ask us to seek His face for healing, Jesus asked His disciples to pray for workers. More specifically He states, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the Harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field” (Matt. 9:37-38). We are to ask God to send workers for His harvest.

In addition to praying for healing in Southern West Virginia and workers for the harvest here in WV, you can financially support a Missions Team or a Missions Effort. God asks us to be good stewarts of what He has given us. If he has laid Southern West Virginia on your heart but you can’t physically come on a Missions Trip, perhaps you should consider giving to Missions here in Southern West Virginia. In Matthew 5:40 Christ reminds us that “… whatever you do for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine your did for me.” Remember, anytime we give, whether it be our time or our money to serve others, we are serving Christ.
