LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks is a ministry of the North American Mission Board through Appalachian Regional Ministry. First Southern Baptist Church of Grandview is a proud partner of ARM and is excited to participate in LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks.
LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks is designed to show the love of Christ to impoverished children and youth throughout Appalachia. Here in Southern West Virginia, 1 in 3 children are hungry. Each backpack provided contains school supplies, hygiene items, zip-top single serving food items, a new toy, new clothing, a Bible or New Testament, and “The Christmas Story”. Each backpack is age and gender appropriate so that each boy and girl receives exactly what they personally need.
Following our LoveLoud Christmas Backpack Distribution, First Southern Baptist of Grandview is hosting a follow up event. The follow up event is a coat, blanket, and food drive for our area. We want to ensure that families who are in need this Christmas have enough food and are warm. In addition to meeting a physical need, we will be meeting a spiritual need by sharing the Gospel at our follow up event.
