What is LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks?
We partner with Appalachian Regional Ministries to help us show the love of Christ to impoverished children and youth in the Shady District. LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks allows us to partner with local schools to provide children with healthy, easy to prepare food, hygiene items, a new toy, new clothing, and a Bible or New Testament along with “The Christmas Story”. Each backpack is age and gender appropriate.
What is a LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks Partnership?
The LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks Partnership allows your church or school to assist our church in sponsoring a local school. Your missions team will come and work along side of ours to distribute the backpacks at a distribution event that will take place between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You will fill the LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks request for the school we are partnering with. You can pack backpacks before arriving at our site or after-which ever is easiest for transportation.
Following our event we will also have a coat, blanket, and food drive for the area. We want to love on both the children and the families who are struggling this holiday season. If your distribution event is close enough to the drive event, we ask that you would consider serving at this event as well.
LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks Needs 2015
Our church is currently partnering with a local Elementary School to provide LoveLoud Christmas Backpacks. We chose to partner with this school first because close to 90% of the student population is at risk. This means, due to their families socioeconomic status, that the only two meals they have may be the meals they are given at school. We are still looking for a Partnership to help us provide 250 backpacks to the children of this local Elementary School and to drive along with us for the follow up event for families.
